About me and this site

Hi,  I’m a 53 year old male, living in the UK, with Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive muscle wasting disease. I decided to make this site after a few of my Facebook friends posted messages about things that had happened to them that I felt were trivial. I replied to them that they were lucky and that their problems were nothing compared to what I go through. Luckily, I check my spelling on Facebook before hitting enter and after reading it back I realised I was being an ass. However trivial their problems seemed to me they were important to them and my tetchy reply would probably cause distress. So I didn’t hit enter on my post.

It got me thinking about why people feel the need to put their intimate thoughts and worries out there for all to see and concluded that it was probably a cathartic experience. Unburdening yourself and receiving morale boosting replies in return. I agree with the first part, it’s good to get things off your chest, but didn’t want the sympathy or the fuss. So I decided on this site. I’ll basically post whatever comes into my head, probably after I’ve just tried to do some simple task but failed miserably.

I hope you find this interesting.

A private, cathartic site, free from Facebook sympathy.
